Our Mission & Approach
Through the education of the girl child we look to build a coalition of free thinkers and community builders. Bayganda empowers changemakers by giving girls access to a holistic education, equipping them with the tools to heal from emotional and sexual abuse, while promoting passion discovery.
WE PURSUE OUR MISSION THROUGH A HOLISTIC APPROACH:
Barrier Removal: A lack of both education and confidence are major barriers for girls on the path to financial independence. In Uganda, we provide resources that enhance their quality of life and ability to learn, including tutors, housing, toiletries, food, and water. In the United States, our six-week summer program provides girls of color from urban communities access to a quality creative camp.
***Scholarships are offered to families who could not otherwise afford to enroll their children in such a rewarding experience.
Education: In the United States, girls pursue their creative passion through our intensive sewing program while also gaining skills in entrepreneurship. In Uganda, girls to receive the gift of K-12 boarding school education from the generous sponsorship of American families. In both regions, we ensure that students understand the importance of using their education and creativity to give back to their communities. Our efforts help to cultivate a tenacious, responsible, and confident spirit in every girl.
