Reimagining learning, bringing hope and excellence into Ugandan schools

In Uganda, only a tenth of kindergarten children have access to public education.

Of the tenth, nearly 25% of those children are girls.

Of the 25%, only 4% of those girls make it to college.

As a result 0.1% of Ugandan girls go to college.

This is due to poverty, gender inequality and the lack of resources. This forces girls into early marriage and domestic work, as well as cultural norms that devalue their education.

“If Uganda is to build a strong education system, we must begin by giving our youngest learners the right start — through structured, well-resourced, and play-based early childhood education that supports the whole child.”

-Ananias Ssemusu, Principle of Kingdom Junior School
